Ocean Poems

I had let you go
hoping you would come back to me
the way the white foam waves do,
hoping you would miss me
the way I miss you.

I never heard a better sound
than the waves whispering your name
than you whispering my name

I built forever on a castle of sand
and watched dumbstruck
as the waves washed it away

the Ocean met the City and still people screamed
marriage is for the sand and the waves.
